Hello!
I’m Patrick Marquardt, a passionate learner, programmer/developer, and gamer.
I went to college at the University of Wisconsin - Stout, I brought home two degrees from my time there. First, a degree in Applied Math and Computer Science with a concentration in software development and then a degree in Game Design and Development with a concentration in computer science.
Since then I went on to industry where I worked for around a year then returned to academia to pursue a master’s degree in robotics. Currently, I am taking a leave from that degree to better understand which path I want to steer my career toward. While I am passionate about expanding my knowledge I seems a bit silly to pursue such a degree if I’m unsure I will have a good use of it in my career.
In my professional career I have had the joys of working on many different projects and working in many different programming languages. From working in VR in the Unreal Engine to fixing bugs in COBOL programs, I like to think I have had many unique experiences already.
In my free time I like to do an assortment of activities. When its nice out I like to get a run in or explore walking trails. Other days I like to spend my time getting my game on. If an idea strikes I can be found working on side projects. If friends are involved anything can be a good time.
